Canadian international Tajon Buchanan is moving permanently from FC Brugge to Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri initially did not provide any information about the contract details on Friday; the transfer fee is reportedly in the range between 10 and 12 million euros. The midfielder, who can be used flexibly on the wings, is supposed to fill the gap caused by veteran Juan Cuadrado’s Achilles tendon tear at the Serie A club.
The fifth most valuable professional in his home country (for statistics) moved from the MLS club New England to Belgium two years ago for 6.36 million euros and has since played 57 games for Bruges, in which he scored five goals. So far this season, the 24-year-old right-footer has scored four goals. Its market value had been reduced by 4 million euros in the past six months. With his move, Buchanan becomes the first Canadian international player in the history of Serie A. There were already five other compatriots in the Italian upper house who did not play for Canada’s selection.
