Inter celebrates thanks to the ex-BVB professional – Juventus messes up the dress rehearsal for Freiburg

The Italian football top club Inter Milan celebrated an important victory in the fight for the Champions League places in Serie A.

Ex-BVB professional Henrikh Mkhitaryan (29th) and Argentinian world champion Lautaro Martinez (53rd) led the team around national player Robin Gosens to a 2-0 (1-0) win over US Lecce. With 50 points, Inter again overtook their competitor Lazio Roma for second place in the table.

The Romans defeated the leaders SSC Naples 1-0 (0-0) on Friday. The Champions League opponents Eintracht Frankfurt are still comfortably on course for the title with a 15-point lead over Inter.

Juventus Turin messed up the dress rehearsal for the Europa League duel with SC Freiburg.

Four days before the round of 16 first leg against the Bundesliga club, the record champions lost 1-0 (0-0) to AS Roma. Roma improved to fourth, Gianluca Mancini scored to win (53′). At Juve, Moise Kean saw a red card shortly after his late substitution (90th).
