Inter Milan didn’t burn anything against the surprise team Feyenoord Rotterdam. Now there is a duel with the German record champion.
Inter Milan has confidently reached the quarter -finals of the Champions League. After the 2-0 in the round of 16 at Feyenoord Rotterdam, the league leader of Serie A had a 2-1 follow in the second leg in front of a home crowd and perfectly made it into the round of the last eight.
The ex-Bundesliga stars Marcus Thuram (8th minute) and Hakan çalhanoğlu (51st minute, penalty) met for Inter. Jakub Moder had been able to compensate for the guests in the 42nd minute. In the quarter -finals, Inter now meets FC Bayern, who prevailed against Bayer Leverkusen in the German duel.
Inter took the lead with the former Munich team Yann Sommer and Benjamin Pavard as a week ago through ex-Gladbach Marcus Thuram (8th). The defense with the German Yann Bisseck had everything under control until playmaker Hakan Çalhanoğlu interfered and fouled – the pole converted the due penalty himself (42nd).
Çalhanoğlu (52nd) restored the old distance even with a flattering penalty. Referee Ivan Kružliak (Slovakia) returned another penalty for Inter and showed Thuram for swallow yellow.
