Because the safety of clients is under pressure and the inspection is seriously concerned, it is now decided that the doors must close for the time being. Clients must be transferred and that must be done before 5 September. The Inspectorate: “Current clients must be assisted in finding appropriate care at other providers. Almond Bloesem Woonzorg Groep may again provide care if the inspection has established that the care provider meets the standards for good and safe care.”
Medication not correctly administered
The residential group in Zuidoost has been under a magnifying glass since October 2024 when a check was found that the requirements of the Care and Conduct Act were not met. For example, risky actions were not always performed by competent staff and medicines were not stored or administered correctly.
Client stop
In December 2024 it was decided that no new clients could be hired. The inspection continued to carry out checks and the management promised improvement. That did not happen and so a penalty of 10,000 euros was imposed in April. The Zorggroep scored negatively on ten of the twelve tests tested.
Last summer the Inspectorate Alandel Bloesem Woonzorg Group visited twice. Then she found that the care institution still did not meet the requirements. “Despite the promised improvements and the supervision of the inspection, the necessary improvements have still not been made. The driver shows no insight into and awareness of the seriousness of the situation.”
The care organization must now transfer the clients to other healthcare providers and must get the green light from the inspection before they can open again.
