The Copenhagen Fashion Week moves into the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London.
As part of the May issue of V&A Fashion in Motion, the Danish fashion week three will organize the Three Sights in the Museum, in which the collections of five up -and -coming designers are presented: the two institutions from Denmark are presented on Wednesday. The aim of this initiative is to specifically strengthen cooperation with the British creative and cultural industry.
Four of the selected labels-Alectra Rothschild/Masculina, Berner Kühl, Bonnetje and Stamm-are part of the CPHFW New Talent program, while the 2024 label was awarded the Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize. Now they enter the footsteps of renowned names such as Alexander McQueen, Ashish, Christian Lacroix and Harris Reed, which in the past have been part of this free sky format.
“The Victoria & Albert Museum is a cultural foundation of the British creative industry. The opportunity to present emerging talents from Denmark as part of the directional format V&A Fashion in Motion is an extraordinary opportunity,” explains Cecilie Thorsmark, managing director of Copenhagen Fashion Week. “By presenting four of our CPHFW Newtalent designers: Inside together with the wearer of the Wessel & Vett Fashion Prize 2024 I hope to set a strong visual statement for the great creative potential of our small country and to further consolidate the connections between our dynamic creative industries.”
Fashion in motion: Copenhagen Fashion Week will take place on May 30, 2025 in the V&A Museum in the Raphael Court.
