One person was injured in a rear-end collision on the N34 between a motorist and the driver of a van around 4.30 pm. The driver of the car had to be freed by the fire brigade and taken to hospital, but according to a police spokesman, he is approachable.
Due to the accident, the N34 between Annen and the roundabout at Gieten was temporarily closed in both directions for about an hour. Traffic that wants to drive on the road from Groningen to Emmen was diverted at Annen. The road was reopened around 5:30 p.m.
