My ‘garbage collector’
“Yet I see myself more as a stay -at -home mother than if someone who has a full -time job, but you will get that quickly when you are an influencer. In between making my content I am brushing up, getting care of jazzy, walking the dog, going shopping, cooking … I am no more than logical, that is more than logical, that I do not do more in the house.”

I visit my parents in Amsterdam every week. Then I take jazzy and the dog with you and we sleep there. I am really a family man, so I think it is important to keep seeing my parents enough. Niek always stays at home because he has to work, he secretly likes that. “
In recent years
“Although we pick up care for Jazzy together, it has not always been easy in recent years. Niek has had a long aftermath of a concussion. He quickly got over stimulated and was very quickly tired. I automatically got more on my plate and I did that with love.
“In between making my content I am brushing up, taking care of jazzy, walking the dog, shopping, cooking … it never ends.”
During this period I had three weeks of recordings for the TV program Real girls in the jungle And he did everything himself. I only knew when I returned that he was still walking around with that concussion. He had kept that because he wanted me not to worry. That touched me enormously. Fortunately, things are going better now. ”
Pregnant
“When I look back on the first half year with Jazzy I was not myself at all. After the birth I lost my own identity. So much changes in one go. My body felt completely wrinkled by the intense birth I had. While I was very happy with my newborn baby, I didn’t feel physically myself.
“I am certainly not the same Joan as before pregnancy.”
It took a while before I was myself again. I am certainly not the same Joan as before pregnancy, but I have always stayed close to myself. You change when your mother becomes, in the right sense.
