The 27-year-old from Nova Kakhovka had won both previous matches in straight sets against the Rimini girl who, up until today in the season, had not yet managed to win two matches in a row in the main draw of the same tournament: she reached the second round in Brisbane, Linz and Dubai where she defeated Daria Kasatkina on her debut.
