Dangerous incident shortly before the sprint decision: On the 17th stage of the Tour de France, security forces in the city of Valence stopped an unknown cyclist in the finish area.
Photo and video recordings showed how the man drives over the finish line on the track and was then stuck on the way. The incident apparently occurred shortly before the stage of the Italian Jonathan Milan.

At first, a man failed to stop the interferer. A policeman then fought against the moving intruder, whereupon both fell to the ground. The man in the blue cycling jersey was then on the floor and was pulled aside. What motives he had acted from remained unclear at first. Already in Toulouse there had been an incident in the finish area on the eleventh stage.
While Norwegian Jonas Abrahamsen and Swiss Mauro Schmid sprinted around the victory, a spectator climbed over the barriers and ran next to the drivers. A folder caught the speedster, the t-shirt with the inscription “Israel out of the tour” wore, even before the finish line and vigorously pushed it against the gang.
