He tells the magazine that he has recently done many psychologically tough roles and states that he might not be able to handle the same ones for a while.
Airola will be seen in the role of Kaija Koo in the story about the musician A beautiful rut happy in the movie. In addition, she plays the mother of a hospitalized baby in Klaus Härö’s upcoming film.
Airola notes how dark themes in film roles easily lead to dark moods outside of work as well. Therefore, he has learned techniques with which he “takes off the role and can physically comfort himself”.
– When, while making the Kaija Koo film, I listened to the day’s prostitution in Finnvox’s imaginary studio, it did happen to my body and affected me, Airola admits.
For the magazine, Airola also describes the preparation for the role of Kaija Koo and, for example, the song scenes in the film.
– Making the song scenes in the film was horrible. It was damn embarrassing to sing badly in front of a crowd of hundreds of assistants, I’ve never experienced such infernal shame. But I had to choose between singing badly and acting badly. I don’t even know what my song will be used in the final film, he says.
