Did FC Utrecht have an excited or an appropriate Servette opposite him? That was the question in advance, after the Swiss were eliminated in the preliminary round of the Champions League and had not achieved points from the first two league matches.
Without the dismissed trainer Thomas Häberli, the Players of Servette after the bad series turned out to be reparated. Striker Miroslav Stevanovic headed and accomplished in the opening phase and after twelve minutes the home club took the lead. Stevanovic headed the ball out of a free kick for the goal and Jeremy Guillemenot nodded into the second post. The biggest chance for FC Utrecht for Rust was for Nick Viergever, but the captain was shocked when goalkeeper Joel Mall went under a corner and headed Pardoes.
Yoann Cathline and Adrian Blake
In the break, Jans had his wing players Yoann Cathline and Adrian Blake changed Kant and that led to the turnaround in the game. Seven minutes after the tea, Cathline played his opponent on the right and his pass flew in through the leg of Servette defender Anthony Baron: 1-1.

Three minutes later the game was turned upside down after a striking header from Siebe Horemans. Not from a corner, but this time from a free kick by Souffian El Karouani. Not much later, Gjivai Zechiel ensured that FC Utrecht starts the return with a rosy starting position.
