She was announced in advance and she did not disappoint: the ‘strawberry moon’. The full moon appeared last night and with a red glow she fell extra out of the night sky. Because of her low position, she immediately seemed much bigger to us. This is what scientists call the ‘moonillus’, an optical illusion caused by our brains when the moon hangs just above the horizon. It already resulted in spectacular images at home and abroad. A lot of photos of readers also walked in through our Tiplijn 4040.
