Basketball coach Alex Mumbru will be missing at the start of the European Championship in Finland due to illness.
As a precaution, the Spaniard was taken to the hospital in Finnish Tampere on Monday due to an “acute infection”, as the German Basketball Bund (DBB) announced. “There he is treated inpatient, now he is doing much better”it said. The association did not give details.
Assistant takes over
