In the giant test of Christmas calendars, the overwhelming winner: “Definitely to continue!”

Which Christmas calendar is a must-have this year? We put 14 chocolate and candy calendars to the test. One made the biggest impression on the jury of six.

The store shelves are already overflowing with different Christmas calendars, and there is an enormous amount to choose from. We put 14 different candy and chocolate calendars to the test. Since most of the candy calendars are aimed at children, Iltalehti’s Christmas calendar committee also consisted of children.

Among the tested Christmas calendars, there were a few calendars that the children were already familiar with, but most of the calendars were new to the testers.

In the test situation, the jury opened the doors of the Christmas calendars and tasted the sweets found inside. The jury evaluates the appearance of the calendars, the taste of the delicacies inside, and the whole.

The overwhelming winner of the test was the Kinder Mini Mix Christmas calendar, which received 13 points from the residents of Raati. The calendar was one of the cheapest in the test. Its price at the time of purchase was 8.19 euros in Lohja Prisma.

Second in the test was the Smarties Christmas calendar with six points and third was Chupa Chups with three points.

In addition, Fazer’s candy calendar, Favorina’s calendar, Lindt’s Teddy calendar, Mauri Kunnas calendar, Moomin calendar and Haribo also received individual points. In addition to the top three, the rest of the votes were therefore very evenly distributed among different calendars.

How were the calendars scored?

At the end of the test, each jury member named the three best calendars in their opinion.

The calendars chosen as the best received three points, the calendars chosen as the second best received two points and the calendars chosen as the third best received one point.

The winning trio was calculated based on these total points.

The people of Suntio participated in the jury Minea Ketonen15, Aino Kallio13, Inka Kallio 12, Aaron Ketonen12 , Niilo Kallio10 and Väinö Kallio8.

– The chocolate was good, but this turned out to be quite a lot of the same.

– Glad you liked the mint. And a nice mint color.

– I liked the taste of dark chocolate, but otherwise it wasn’t that good.

(the jury wants water to drink at this point)

BonBon Christmas calendar

Price: 16.95 e (K-Citymarket)

– It exploded! Here it says the rat’s twitch.

– What exactly is this? Here it reads the murku lirut. (candy texts cause snickering and giggling)

– This is quite amazing. I thought it tasted like lacquer, but this orange part is really good. Let’s continue!

– I didn’t really like it. Someone who likes crunchy candies will like this calendar.

– These are pretty funny.

– It’s bitter. Pretty good.

Group Hau

Price: 3.29 e (K-Citymarket)

– Standard milk chocolate. I recommend it for small children.

– Pretty good, but boring when you have the same chocolate all the time.

– Maybe not intended for parents either. The picture is nice, the taste is the same all the time. You could easily get bored with it. I recommend it to younger people who like the Group search.

– The candy has a picture, but the chocolate is the same all the time.

– Quite a childish calendar.

– It’s not strong, basic taste.

Moomin Christmas calendar

– This is similar to the Group search. I got the same train again!

– Chocolate shapes are not related to Moomins.

– Similar to Group search. Good chocolate, but I wouldn’t want this calendar.

– I would have assumed that the chocolates would be in the shape of Moomins.

– The calendar is great, but the same things are repeated and there will be no surprises.

– A good calendar for younger children. A bit dull cover, not much color.

Mauri Kunnas

Price: 3.25 e (Prisma)

– This is by no means boring. Perfect for Christmas.

– Nicely decorated calendar.

– I like this cover because it’s really Christmassy. Chocolate is always the same.

– It would be a bit boring if you got the same thing every day.

– Fortunately, that train didn’t come again.

– It’s nice to have a Christmas picture. I would get bored of chocolate pretty quickly.

As a favorite

Price: 6.99 e (Lidl)

– It’s a nicely decorated cover.

– Looks like it’s intended for adults. I thought these were alcohol bars.

– Reminiscent of something intended for adults. A box of chocolates came to mind.

– It wasn’t to my taste, but a good calendar for someone who likes sweets.

M&M’s Christmas calendar

Price: 11.95 e (Prisma)

– Here came a coconut bar, you can get them in the store. It won’t feel so Christmassy.

– A bit boring picture. I didn’t really like the nuts.

– A bit of a bad Christmas theme here.

– Snickers came. Pretty sweet. It’s a bit boring when you can get these from the store.

Fazer Candy Calendar

Price: 19.95 e (Prisma)

– This is empty! Hatch number 9 is empty! (it is revealed that the candy has spread inside the calendar to its bottom.)

– It should really be the case that one hatch is empty. That would be exciting!

– You need scissors to open this, it’s not nice.

– I got a bag of Tutti Frutti candy. I liked it.

– This is a really big calendar and the hatches are almost full. It’s good, but the candies are the kind you get in the store. It’s a bit boring.

– The picture is really nice and there is a lot to look at. This looks the most interesting of all the calendars, but the content is pretty basic.

– Probably quite an expensive calendar. It was really sweet and nice looking, people will probably buy it, but I’m not quite satisfied.

The children rated some of the calendars as worth buying. Some of the calendars, on the other hand, were boring in the opinion of the testers. PASI LEISMA
