A Black Kite has escaped from the Hoenderdaell estate. The bird of prey managed to take its wings during the feeding moment. To this day, it has not been possible to catch the beast. NH News went looking together with director Robert Kruijff.
But how do you catch a bird of prey? “That’s a good question,” admits director Kruijff. But the Wouw is not completely without a trace. Observant local residents and walkers have already seen the escaped bird and also captured it on video. Kruijff emphasizes: “Please leave the catching to us.”
Not to catch a hole
The bird managed to escape during the feeding moment. Normally that is not a problem, because a large net has to stop the birds. But this beast could not be caught for a hole, this smart guy managed to escape through a large opening. Every now and then he flies by the estate to see how his relatives are doing, but so far he has not been caught.
“He likes it very much to fly around outside like this”, director Kruijff suspects. “Maybe I’ll give it to him too.”
