Much of the explosion at the Remijden in Osdorp last night was captured on camera. It can be seen that the walls of the building are completely destroyed, and that the fire brigade is trying to control the fire from the roof. A resident of the nearby evacuated apartment filmed people climbing out of the gym building from a higher floor.
This morning you can see the extent of the damage and that fences have been placed to cordon off the area. A sniffer dog will also enter the building to look for people who may still be under the rubble.
The impact caused part of the gym’s facade to collapse and caused extensive damage inside, as can be seen in last night’s photos.
