IN PICTURE. Dimitri Vegas stars as bad guy in latest ‘Jurassic World’ movie | showbiz

showbizTonight the Belgian premiere of ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ took place in Kinepolis Antwerp, the third and final installment in the ‘Jurassic World’ reboot series and the sixth film in the ‘Jurassic’ franchise starring dinosaurs. No Chris Pratt on the red carpet, but BVs and Dimitri Vegas. The latter plays a small part in this blockbuster.

“I’m playing a villain in this blockbuster,” said the Belgian DJ who went to London for the recordings in September 2020. “I am very grateful to be a part of a legend, an era that made my childhood fantastic. “It was a childhood dream of mine to one day be in a ‘Jurassic’ movie, my studio is still full of dinosaurs, so I can check that off my bucket list. And I hope to see the film someday with my son London (almost 1). Although he will be shocked to see the daddy with long hair.”

And the DJ has a good taste for acting. After smaller roles in ‘Patser’ and ‘Lukas’ (with Jean-Claude Van Damme), he can also be seen this summer in the Belgian action comedy ‘H4Z4RD’ in which he plays the leading role. “And I have other film projects planned at home and abroad. The name Dimitri Vegas does open doors for auditions, but afterwards you have to prove yourself again and again. I have to build acting from scratch while I have already achieved a lot in the music business.” Yet Dimi does not want to choose between deejaying and acting. “I want to combine both. As long as there are no recordings during Tomorrowland, there is no problem.”

Jurassic World: Dominion takes place four years after the destruction of Isla Nublar. Dinosaurs now live – and hunt – all over the world. The delicate balance between dinosaurs and humans will reshape the future. Once and for all, it becomes clear whether humans can remain at the top of the food chain in a world they must share with the most terrifying creatures that ever lived. ‘Dominion’ is the spectacular end of the Jurassic era, where two generations of actors come together for the first time. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are joined by Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill.

The film will hit theaters on June 8.
