Big Bazar bankrupt
Big Bazar is bankrupt, so the branch in the Buytenwegh shopping center is permanently closed. The branch in the Stadshart has been closed for a long time.

First a sale, then a bigger store
Women’s and men’s fashion store Van Uffelen is having a sale with high discounts. This is to make room for a large-scale renovation, in which the Van Uffelen building will be merged with the former Doppio building. In the new year, Van Uffelen will therefore be twice as big. Optician moves
Pearle in the Stadshart will be closed on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 December. Those days the optician will move to the former Sandwich building on the Promenade. Pearle will reopen at its new location on Friday, December 8.

New restaurant name announced
Restaurant Clooney has been taken over by the owners of Pavarotti. The building is being renovated and a new catering business will open in the new year. Not much is known about it yet, but the new name is already on the facade: LOU LOU.
