If there was one certainty in the last year of his life, it was that Hans van Hemert was far from finished with music. He continued to work on new material for others in his home studio. Even when it was clear that he, 79 years old, would lose the battle against cancer after 17 years of illness – which finally happened on October 7, 2024.
