On Wednesday, Hansa Rostock defeated TSV 1860 Munich in the Baltic Sea Stadium. But the joy was clouded by an incident.

An emotional football evening in the Baltic Sea Stadium ends with a worrying incident: after the home win of FC Hansa Rostock against TSV 1860 Munich, a child has been seriously injured.

As the police said, the boy suffered his injuries after the final whistle in the north stand. The nine -year -old was immediately taken to the hospital. In the morning, the police said that the injuries were not life -threatening. Criminal proceedings have been initiated. The investigation into the exact circumstances of the incident.

Over 24,000 fans had previously celebrated the 2-1 win of Hansa, saying goodbye to the four floodlight masts, which had shaped the image of the Baltic Sea Stadium since 1970. At the end of the Pyrotechnics celebration, the masts had been ignited.

According to information from the NDR, there is a lot of indication that a burning piece of pyrotechnics landed on the stadium roof. The heat melted the material, which finally fell into the guest area. In addition to the child, two other people were injured.
