The severity of traffic jams (the length times the duration of the traffic jam) on Dutch roads will have increased by 8 percent in 2024 compared to 2023, reports the ANWB based on traffic data from TomTom. It is striking that there were significantly more traffic jams during the day than last year, an increase of 18 percent. According to the ANWB, it was especially busier on Wednesday and Thursday, with an increase of 40 and 25 percent respectively.
