After a highly disappointing debut season in red, rumors have been raised in recent days about a change in Lewis Hamilton’s team. Fred Vasseur himself fueled these rumors. The Scuderia bosses have now apparently provided clarity.
It goes without saying that Lewis Hamilton’s weak Formula 1 season at Ferrari would have consequences. There was recent speculation in this context that the Scuderia could rebuild the Brit’s team and, among other things, dismiss its racing engineer Riccardo Adami. Now it is apparently clear: Adami can stay after all.
According to “Auto Racer” information, those responsible at Ferrari have decided against a change in this important position. A meeting took place between the engineer and Hamilton at which a number of topics were discussed. According to the report, this exchange was so positive that the duo decided to move forward together.
Vasseur hints at changes at Ferrari
Team boss Fred Vasseur, of all people, had cast doubts on this a few days ago. When asked about possible personnel changes in the team, the Frenchman said: “We are looking at all options.” Vasseur also announced an internal analysis of the season in which they would look at what went well and what went badly and in which areas they could position themselves better.
A very similar discussion is currently taking place at Red Bull Racing. It is still unclear whether Gianpiero Lambiase will remain Max Verstappen’s race engineer.
It was initially reported that Red Bull was considering a restructuring, which could see Lambiase given a new position. However, there are now increasingly heated rumors that the engineer is considering a move to Aston Martin. There he would be reunited with Adrian Newey, who would henceforth act as the new team boss.
