Niklas Hyvärinen wants the police to investigate Maga’s activities.
There were sparks between Magamed “Maga” Gadiev and Niklas Hyvärinen even before the match. Antti Nikkanen
Niklas Hyvärinen has made an investigation request to the police Magamed “Maga” Gadiev for a rude gesture in the boxing match on Saturday. About that news Uuno.fi.
The men faced each other at Immu Fight Club’s evening.
The most shocking situation of the match happened in the third set, when Gadiev went behind Hyvärinen, who was in his tank, to make skinning moves.
Hyvärinen tells Uuno.fi ele that she thinks the gesture meets the hallmarks of sexual violence. Gadiev, who won the match overwhelmingly, said in a cageside interview that his behavior is just as acceptable as his opponent’s comments about his background in a press conference.
Mäki was surprised
He opened the doors of his Ringside training hall to Hyvärin and acted as his corner man Pekka Mäki heard about the investigation request from IL.
– He is free to do what he wants, but I don’t know what there is to investigate, the sports legend thinks.
– It was a tasteless rapture, what he [Gadiev] did, but they do throw a bit of vulgarity there anyway. It’s up to him, but I probably wouldn’t have gone that route.
According to Mäki, the matter had not been discussed with Hyvärinen, who on Saturday night had admitted that Gadiev, who is 27 years younger, was better.
An irregular event
However, in Mäki’s opinion, the case reveals the problematic nature of organizing new wrestling sports organizations, because they do not operate under the rules of any higher authority.
Under different circumstances, Gadiev could have gotten cold feet because of the trick already in the match itself.
– This is where we come to this dilemma when we are in an unsanctioned match where there is no amateur or professional boxing association supervision. There are no sanctioning bodies or written rules about what to do. This kind of activity could have even been disconcerted by both professionals and amateurs, Mäki reminds.
Promoter Mika “Immu” Ilmén has said that Gadiev will not be seen at IFC events during the rest of the year due to his gesture.
