Tampere’s second local match of the season was an entertaining and eventful occasion.
In the opening set of the match, Ilves was solidly on top of the rider.
Otto Leskinen due to his absence, the defender who was added to Tappara’s lineup Mattias Bäckman flashed with the puck behind his own goal, Ilves grabbed the puck after a couple of transfers Petr Kodytek inked the tassel ears on the cord.

Heikkinen and Salonen “fixed” the light Ilves jäähy of the opening set in the second set, when Nick Babtiste got a non-existent second. Clendening hit the loose puck and the game tool took a bounce from Kodytek: 3–2 for the green shirts.
The third period of the match was a fairly even battle. Joona Ikonen nailed an empty goal for Ilves 4–2. Carter Camper made it 4-3 nine seconds before full time. The game ended with these numbers.
Uneven and rather peculiar refereeing was characteristic of Friday night’s game.

On Friday, the Nokia Arena was sold out for the first time in this season’s SM league matches. There were 12,700 spectators in the stands.
There was a strong sale of tickets, because already on Friday morning they were all sold out.
In the first local match of the season on September 28, there were 10,520 spectators in the stands.
Last season, four out of six local matches had a full house of 12,700 spectators. The first local of the 2022–23 season had 11,744 and the second 12,600.
The September local match was won by Ilves with 5–3 goals.
Last season’s local victories were 3–3.
