At 2-1 for Alcaraz and Sinner service, the heat inside the Inalpi Arena made a man in the stands feel ill
An illness suffered by a spectator interrupted the final between Sinner and Alcaraz for about 15 minutes, with the score 2-1 for the Spaniard and service to the Italian. All probably due to the heat inside a packed Inalpi Arena. The match was stopped and medical personnel intervened promptly while Jannik and Carlos spoke to the referee. After the scare, the spectator recovered and the match was able to resume as normal.

However, it is not the first time that similar episodes have occurred in these ATP Finals. On the second day, two tragedies shook the event: two men, aged 70 and 78, died after falling ill in two separate episodes which occurred within a short distance of each other. The first felt ill in the morning in front of the Fan Village in Piazza d’Armi, near the Inalpi Arena; the second fell ill in the stands during the match between Lorenzo Musetti and Taylor Fritz. And again on Tuesday: during the match between Musetti and De Minaur another spectator was rescued and taken to hospital.
