The Gaming Authority (KSA) has rolled up various illegal poker tournaments in the last fall, including in Asten and Tilburg. During the promotions of the regulator for tens of thousands of euros in cash. According to the KSA, this kind of illegal tournaments gambling tax is evaded. The KSA put an end to illegal poker tournaments in Tilburg, Asten, Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam. 40,000 euros in cash was found in a place. The catering facility where the tournament took place was also permanently closed during one of the actions. It is not known in which municipality this happened.
The supervisor says that poker players run the risk of gambling addict, especially when there is high bets in an uncontrolled environment. The authority often acts together with the police and with municipalities against illegal gambling activities, but also more often intervenes independently of the KSA.
