It was 2015, they debuted in the first Sanremo Festival hosted by Carlo Conti and, at the end of the fifth evening, they won. Barone, Boschetto and Ginoble have returned to Italy (and landed at the Festival) after years of touring. The trio started from the Bel Paese, but the objective was immediately to conquer the foreign market. And so it was. In a short time, Il Volo has become a symbol of Italy in the world, of bel canto and tradition.
On the one hand, detractors have often accused them of offering an antiquated, anachronistic repertoire not in line with current musical tastes; on the other, the three continued to work with their heads down waiting for the right time. The show and the partnership with Canale 5
In this regard, the partnership with Canale 5 has continued since 2022. The first show, Il Volo – Christmas in Jerusalemis from 2022. In 2023 it was the turn of Il Volo – All for oneanother concert event in two evenings broadcast from the Verona Arena. On that occasion, Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero were also able to count on the participation of dozens of guests.
