Iivo Niskanen participated in the district competition – This is how it happened

The skiing star went to discipline the men of his home region.

Iivo Niskanen participated in the 10 km traditional skiing competition at the Pohjois-Savo district championships on Saturday.

As you might expect, the intermediate competition was the three-time Olympic champion’s hay with a clear difference from the others.

Niskanen clocked a time of 25:26.9 in his home country. Runner up Topias Törmäkangas missed the winning time by three minutes and 51 seconds. He took third place Samu Sjöblomwho lost to Niskanen by four minutes and 39 seconds.

Finland’s number one star aims for success in the World Cups in Salpausselkä and Oslo in the end of the season. Niskanen will see them before at the Puijo Suomen Cup at the end of the month.
