Three-time Olympic champion in skiing Iivo Niskanen has competed for the first time as a trotting instructor.
Niskanen directed EV Esko in his hometown of Vieremä in the Midsummer raves. The warm-blooded stallion placed 11th in the third start of the trotting. There were 13 horses in the start.
Niskanen completed a trotting license in May, and this summer he will participate in the St Michel trotting in Mikkeli, among other places.
Six-year-old EV Esko is coaching Matti Nisonen. This year the horse has won 4,309 euros.
The start of the race was won by Episode Nine, directed by Nisonen, who grabbed the winning prize of 800 euros.
