Of course, one can only guess why the rapper Iggy Azalea, not known for her prudish performances, gave a concert in Saudi Arabia during the Gamers8 event. However, what she experienced there should by no means be fondly remembered by the singer.
During her gig last Friday (August 25th), her skin-tight latex suit tore in what was probably the most difficult place – in the intimate area. Twitter videos from viewers show the 33-year-old immediately holding her hand in her crotch to cover the seam that is likely to unravel. Looking to the edge of the stage, she tried to get help.
Normally, such cloakroom accidents are not a problem and are dealt with in no time at all. But because of the strict dress code in Saudi Arabia and above all because of numerous moral laws, she had to end the show.
In some posts on Instagram, which have since been deleted, the singer commented on the fatal evening. “Saudi Arabia… Warrrrrrrr…. probably the worst possible place for a ripped pair of pants & unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to finish the concert,” Izzy wrote. “But the silver lining is that the organizers were incredibly nice to me & the people who came were really a great support.”
Still dazed from the gig, the rapper tweeted: “Love you guys. This wasn’t what I intended for the show but it’s a memory I will always carry in my heart & it ultimately showed me how kind, loving & supportive people can be during one of those awkward moments has.”
