Dow Jones-The Business Climate in Germany did not brighten up in February, contrary to expectations. The IFO business climate index remained at the revised previous month of 85.2, as the IFO Institute announced. In contrast, economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires forecast an increase to 85.7. For the time being, 85.1 points were reported for January. The index of the situation assessment decreased to 85.0 (revised 86.0) points. 86.3 points were expected, based on a preliminary January value of 86.1. The index of business expectations rose to 85.4 (revised 84.3) points. The forecast had been 85.1. For the time being, 84.2 points were reported for January.
