The first major change in the long-planned TV HD transition went through successfully. On Tuesday, shortly after morning, Digita announced that HD transition was realized on YLE channels as planned. The technical change in antenna and cable networks was made between Monday and Tuesday night at 2.01. As a result of the transition, YLE’s basic or SD broadcasts have ended with Digita’s antenna TV network and cable operators network. From now on, YLE’s broadcasts will be available on HD channels.
