Experienced French World Cup guest Mathieu Greiner is disappointed with the food offerings of restaurants in Tampere.
– I like fish a lot, but you can’t get it anywhere here. Strange, really strange, says Greiner.
He says that he has visited a few restaurants in the central area of Tampere.
– You can’t catch fish anywhere in the competition area. I’m very disappointed.
In the cradle of culinaryism, fish is offered in all eateries, the gentleman from Strasbourg, located on the German border, announces.
A man who has been to several different hockey value tournaments gives the food in Tampere a good value rating without counting.
– The city is quite compact and interesting. A good tourist destination. Glad the tournament is here.
Many competition guests have been surprised by the high prices in Tampere.
– The prices are right. We have roughly the same in France, says Greiner.
– It’s a good thing in Tampere that you can pay with a credit card everywhere. I’m used to using cash, because in France in many places you only pay in cash, he adds.
The French national team was in the A level of the World Cup in the years 2008–19, until the tournament in Slovakia became a pick-up.
Bagonkimaa made a return to the main series last season and finished in 12th place.
Greiner estimates that in this year’s tournament the place in the main series will remain.
– Finland is the biggest favorite, but I watched the game against the USA: it was not very good from Finland. I hope Finland wins the championship.
