Main round winner ERC Ingolstadt stormed a round with a canteen victory, the Adler Mannheim ended the play-offs for record coach Don Jackson, and the Cologne sharks turned off the runner-up: the semi-finals of the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) is complete.
With the outstanding double packer Wojciech Stachowiak, the Ingolstadt residents made the Nuremberg Ice Tigers in their own stadium 6: 0 (4: 0, 2: 0: 0) in the sixth quarter-finals and won the best-of-Seven series with 4: 2. The Mannheimers also recorded the fourth victory at Red Bull Munich with 2: 1 (1: 0, 1: 0: 1) and thus threw the nine -time master maker Jackson, who had again jumped in at Bayern.
After three victories at the beginning, Cologne threatened 3-1 (0: 0, 0: 1, 3: 0) against the Fischtown Pinguins from Bremerhaven up to ten minutes before the end in a row. But the sharks were still turning the game, so they were spared a novelty in German ice hockey: a team has never been left after a 3-0 lead in the play-offs.
In Nuremberg, the main round winner caused clear conditions in the first third. Myles Powell (9th), Enrico Henriquez Morales (11th), national player Stachowiak (17th) and Abbott Girduckis (20th) shot a 4-0 for the guests. With its fifth goal of the series, Stachowiak (37th), Kenny Agostino made it 6-0 (38th).
