Presenter and 2016 Miss Finland Shirly Karvinen tells Dear Shirley in his podcast about the controlling behavior of his ex-boyfriend.
In the episode, Karvinen and Jasmiina Yildiz, who is a guest, answer a question sent by a listener, in which they consider whether they need to tell their new partner if they are still living on their ex-partner’s money.
Yildiz states that in such a situation one benefits financially, but on the other hand, reflects that in the situation the other person has a shocking upper hand and control.
In the episode, Karvinen recalls a male person who wanted to take clear responsibility for their shared home.
– He was such that I didn’t get to decide on the interior design of the shared home. I had to ask permission. I know how it sounds, maybe not quite fresh, says Karvinen.
– Well, not really, Jasmiina Yildiz, who is a guest in the episode, is stumped.
According to Karvinen, the man was particular about how things should look and what could be bought.
– I wasn’t really allowed to wash his clothes because I put them to dry incorrectly, Karvinen says.
Karvinen has talked about his relationship issues in his podcasts before. For example, her previous relationship with singer Sanni has been on the wallpaper.
Shirly and Sanni dated for four years until they broke up in July.
– Goodbye everyone. My relationship ended some time ago. I won’t comment on it any further. Life goes on, Karvinen commented in the story section of his Instagram.
