One week after being admitted to the hospital, Joaquín Cortés is discharged without a very clear diagnosis. The bailaor was in a Madrid hospital after spending several days with physical discomfort, syncope and fainting. He himself communicated on his social networks the state of his health during these days, assuring that “everything would be fine” and revealing how much he missed his little ones, Romeo and Andrea, ages 4 and 2 respectively.
This same morning, Joaquín uploaded a publication to his Instagram with the last minute of his situation. Hours later, the bailaor received a medical discharge and told the media how he had lived these days: “They began to do tests on me, something surreal. I came because of the flu and I almost died, but the important thing is that we are here.”
At all times, Joaquín thanks public health for the treatment they have given him this week, since despite being Holy Weekto the entire medical team has turned to your health: “We have wonderful public health. They will have done about twenty tests on me.” The artist confesses that although he can go home, he still doesn’t know what exactly he has: “Now I still have to take a lot of tests because they have to guess what I have.”

Although he still has a long way to go, he really wants to return to the stage: “In short, we are alive, I have to thank God, they are going to continue doing many tests on me, although now I have been temporarily discharged I have to take tests in the next two months, you know that I’m going to America later, luckily I start at the end of June, I’m going to New York, Los Angeles, to many places, there’s no harm that doesn’t come for good, let me Has this happened now that in the middle of a world tour”.
Regarding the treatment received at the Hospital de la Princesa, he could not be more grateful: “I’m excited because it’s worth admiring, these people deserve everything, there are no words to describe it, they have all been there, I insist, at Easter when everyone went on vacation. It has been good for me, the hospital was just for me, everyone devoted to me, they have made an effort, they continue to do tests, I am still not completely cured, but I am already much better. I continue with a treatment that I will be in for the next two months, dancing has saved me, it will continue to save me, I have a few more years left traveling around the world and taking Spanish culture to the whole world”.
When asked for a clear diagnosis, he explains: “Everything has been directed more to the lung issue, it had a lot of mucus, very loaded, in times of allergies, like now, has no relation to him covid, There have been people who have commented on it, nothing to do with the covid, it is a bacteria that they have located me. We all have a lot of bacteria in our mouths, sometimes they go down, they play, we are there trying to kill that bacteria and send it away. Nothing more, I can’t say anything else.”
