Frans Duijts thinks that Marco Borsato’s friendly behavior was misunderstood by his complainant. In his own words, he is also like the Dreams Are Deceit singer. “I pet people too.”
The case against Marco Borsato has been followed throughout the country. Despite the two days of court hearing, it is not entirely clear to many people whether or not the singer is guilty of indecent exposure. How different was it with Ali B, who was condemned by the entire country after his crying in court. There is too much doubt in the Borsato case.
Amical man
Frans Duijts also finds it difficult to make a judgement. “I find it a very difficult story. I know Marco as a colleague, we used to work at the same artist agency The Entertainment Group,” he says in the Weekend.
Frans himself thinks that Marco’s friendly behavior has been misunderstood. “He’s a friendly man. The grabbing, the three kissing, a pat on the back: that’s also my thing, so to speak. I think it’s an habit, it’s just the fun. I don’t see much wrong with that.”
‘Not nice’
Frans has not followed the case. “Did I watch the case in amazement? I consciously didn’t follow it that way, because it doesn’t make me feel good. This man has already been severely punished. And of course, that trial had to happen, but it’s not like I sit in front of the TV all day. You take the summary.”
“We’ll see what happens. Yes, I sent Marco a message and regularly said through his brother Armando: ‘Give him a hug from me. I certainly feel sorry for him.'”
