HZVV ends season with loss, Noordscheschut waves off with victory

HZVV closed the season in the Hoofdklasse B with a deserved home defeat against DETO from Vriezenveen: 2-4. vv Noordscheschut waved off with the second victory of the season over ONS Sneek. In Friesland it became 1-2.

HZVV was already 0-2 behind at halftime due to hits from Tom Koelman and Coplan Soumaoro and when it also became 0-3 about ten minutes after the break (via Bas Postma), the game seemed over. Thanks to two goals from Jesse van Dalen (who thus doubled his season total in competition), the tension returned, but the final chord was for the guests. Postma also made his second of the afternoon, meaning HZVV lost its last game of the season and finished eighth in the Dutch big league.

The already relegated Noordscheschut said goodbye to the Dutch big league with their heads held high. The team of outgoing trainer Marc van Meel (he will meet Noordscheschut in the 1st class with his new club DZOH next season) won against ONS Sneek for the second time this season. In Friesland it became 1-2. Rijnald Vos scored both goals for Noordscheschut before halftime. Seventeen minutes before the end, Wesley Tankink scored the connecting goal, but the orange shirts got no further.

And so Noordscheschut said goodbye to the big league podium two seasons after the historic promotion.

In the Hoofdklasse B, Urk already won the championship and RKAV Volendam, Eemdijk and Genemuiden will compete in the playoffs for promotion to the Third Division. Noordscheschut and NSC Nijkerk are relegated to the 1st class, while ONS Sneek and SDC Putten have to save their lives through the post-competition.
