After a mediocre season, hurdler Nadine Visser from Hoogkarspel has ended the collaboration with coach Bert Bennema. The 27-year-old athlete worked with Bennema for ten years.
“This is a very difficult decision after working together for so long. I am so grateful to Bart for every year in which I have developed from a young and inexperienced all-around rider to the hurdler I am today,” Visser writes on Instagram.
Disappointing season
Visser had a disappointing season. In February she suffered a tear in her hamstring and because of this her preparation for the major tournaments did not go well. At the World Championships in July she failed to qualify for the final of the 100 meters hurdles and at the European Championships in August she finished fourth in the same discipline.
