The millions in cash and kilos of gold that Hungary seized from a Ukrainian bank in March have been returned to Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky reports this on X. The seizure took place under the government of Orbán, which claimed that the money was linked to criminal activities of the Hungarian opposition. “An important step in our relations with Hungary,” Zelensky calls it on X.
