Hundreds of jobs in Emmen due to new ‘green’ building elements factory

Re-Buildit is going to build a factory in Emmen for the production of circular building elements. The company is expected to produce 675,000 square meters of floor and wall parts there on an annual basis. In the first instance, this will create a hundred jobs, which can grow to 250 in due course.

Circular building elements are fully reusable, which is better for the environment.

The factory with a production area of 18,000 square meters is being built on the De Tweeling business park. Re-Buildit’s circular floor and wall elements are currently already being produced elsewhere. This concerns durable and strong tinplate profiles. Production is 80 to 100 percent circular.

Re-Buildit will receive support from the province of Drenthe and the municipality of Emmen for the construction of the factory. The location on the De Tweeling business park is important to the company. The business park has its own entrances and exits to the A37, which facilitates the supply and removal of materials.

Construction of the factory is to begin this fall and the factory is to be commissioned in the course of next year.
