Eintracht Frankfurt took around 75 million euros for Omar Marmoush in winter. There is even at least 15 million euros more for his former storm partner.

Hugo Ekitiké is about to switch to Liverpool FC. As the well -informed sports portal “The Athletic” reports, Eintracht Frankfurt and Liverpool have fundamentally agreed. The transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the message, spoke of the fact that the deal was perfect promptly.

According to the report of “The Athletic”, the English pay more than 90 million euros for Ekitiké. If all bonus payments are due, the deal would exceed the previous record transfer of Eintracht. This is still Randal Kolo Muani, whom Frankfurt had sold to Paris Saint-Germain for 95 million euros in the summer of 2023.

The goalkeeper Ekitiké is to receive a six -year contract in Liverpool. Players and clubs already agree on the basic modalities. Frankfurt would lose an absolute key player in Ekitiké. Last year the Frenchman scored a total of 22 goals in 48 competitive games and prepared 12 more.

In the test against FSV Frankfurt on Saturday, Ekitiké was no longer playing, sat at 3-2 (2-1) as one of only two Eintracht players 90 minutes on the bench-the other was the third goalkeeper Yurij Obert.

Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller then explained meaningfully: “He didn’t play, everything else can be thought,” the coach was quoted by the “kicker”. “This is a bitter loss. We lost the absolute top player with Omar Marmoush (to Manchester City, editor’s note, editor) in winter. The other has jumped into the breach and has developed sensationally. It may well be good. So I believe that we have to dampen the expectations a bit overall.”
