Carrying your favorite bands around the world on T-shirts is a widespread phenomenon in pop culture, in which big brands also participate again and again – now Hugo Boss too. The German manufacturer dedicates one to Freddie Mercury collection in the so-called “Boss Legends series”.

Good cause in Pride Month

That line was recently launched with clothing inspired by Muhammad Ali. In the coming months, other icons captured on textiles are to follow. The company from Metzingen donates part of the profit to a charitable organization close to the respective cult figure.

It’s no coincidence that the Queen singer was chosen in June: “Freddie Mercury is described as one of the greatest bosses of all time and an icon of the LGBTQ+ community. And so, during Pride Month, we’re excited to present a new Freddie Mercury-inspired capsule collection as part of the Boss Legends series.”

Bright yellow as a tribute

Specifically, the T-shirts are printed with black-and-white shots of some of Mercury’s famous performances and gestures. Inspired by a jacket worn by the musician on the last Queen tour in 1986, the clothes are not only available in black and white, but also in a bright yellow. Each piece is also signed by him – one motif comes with a quote from the singer: “I will not be a star. I will be a legend!”
