Hugo, the younger of Hugo Boss’s two brands, introduced a fully 3D printed loafer in cooperation with Zellerfeld, a manufacturer of 3D printed shoes.
The Hugo Forward X Zellerfeld Loafer reinterprets the traditional loafer for a generation that “appreciates both usability and brave design,” explains the German fashion brand. The 3D-printed model, which does not require seams or adhesive or additional parts, are printed in Zellerfeld’s automated production facility in Hamburg from a single recyclable material on order and is available in beige, black, red, orange or blue.
The model presents a new sole texture inspired by crepe soles. This is rooted in the shoemaker’s trade and is reinterpreted by digital production. The fit of the shoe is personalized using Zellerfeld’s foot scan technology, which is created for everyone: an individual profile inside.
The shoe celebrated its debut on June 29th on the Kaiwanese brand Namesake on the Kaiwanese brand. The Hugo Forward X Zellerfeld Loafer, which was not designed in cooperation with Namesake, will also be shown in the upcoming Lookbook of the brand.
The Hugo X Zellerfeld Loafer will be available exclusively on request on zellerfeld.com. In Hugo branches in Amsterdam and Milan, the shoe is also advertised by exclusive installations.
