HSV brings ex-Bundesliga professional into the coaching team

As a central defender, the 37-year-old once made more than 400 appearances, including 35 in the Bundesliga. Jungwirth faced HSV four times in his career and only managed to win once. After retiring, Florian Jungwirth became assistant coach of the Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS in 2023, and in 2024 he moved to Bochum as a youth coach. The ex-professional made it to the round of 16 of the German championship with VfL’s U17 team.
