After the successful loan to Hamburger SV, Luka Vuskovic’s sporting future is still uncertain. There is concrete interest in the Croatian World Cup driver in the Premier League. A former Bundesliga coach also believes the central defender can make the move to FC Bayern.
Vuskovic will officially return to Tottenham Hotspur on July 1st. But it is currently not clear whether the 19-year-old (contract until 2030) will actually play for the North Londoners in the future. Brighton & Hove Albion are currently said to be intensively advertising for the ex-HSV star.
Union Berlin’s former coach Nenad Bjelica can also imagine Vuskovic at the German record champions. “I am sure that one day he will play for one of the best clubs in the world. Of course he is also one for FC Bayern,” the Croatian told “Sport Bild”.
Vuskovic has been repeatedly linked to FC Bayern in recent months. There doesn’t seem to be any hot lead to Munich at the moment.
Bjelica: Vuskovic works like Ronaldo
Vuskovic knew how to impress at Hamburger SV last season. The top talent completed 30 appearances (six goals) for the Rothosen.
“This cheekiness, this calmness on the ball, this bite in the duels fascinate me. What makes him even more special is that Luka was already exceptionally determined and focused at the age of 16, when he made his debut in Croatia’s first division. He has what Cristiano Ronaldo also brought to the top: living 24 hours a day just for football,” enthused Bjelica.
Vuskovic is currently with the Croatian national team at the World Cup. Bjelica is certain that the defensive specialist will be “one of the shooting stars of the World Cup. The boy is improving at an incredible pace in the Bundesliga and also in the Croatian national team.”
