HSV is allegedly courting the Gladbach star

László Bénes rarely played for Borussia Mönchengladbach last season. The Gladbach star may now be moving to the 2nd Bundesliga. Hamburger SV is said to have put out feelers.

According to the “hsv1887tv” fan site, the HSV bosses are already in contact with those responsible for the foals in order to finalize a loan deal with a subsequent purchase option.

However, it is difficult to say how well informed the Instagram account actually is. At least more than 28,000 users follow the site.

The “Bild” newspaper recently reported that Werder Bremen is said to have expressed an interest in Bénes.

The Slovak didn’t get the chance he had hoped for with the foals last season and is said to be playing with thoughts of farewell. The 24-year-old was loaned to FC Augsburg in the second half of the 2020/21 season.

According to the report, another loan for the variable midfielder is no longer an option. Bénes is aiming for a final separation from Borussia.

In the case of a transfer, there is apparently a transfer fee of between one and two million euros. The contract from Bénes on the Lower Rhine runs until the end of June 2024.

Will Bénes replace Sonny Kittel at HSV?

At HSV, Bénes could follow in Sonny Kittel’s footsteps. The 29-year-old wants to leave the Rothosen this summer.

Hamburger SV could meet the player’s wishes, who scored 30 goals and 33 goals in 104 games in Elbstadt, but according to “kicker” the second division club does not want to let the offensive player go on a free transfer.

According to a “Bild” report, he is drawn to the USA. Accordingly, the MLS clubs Sporting Kansas City, DC United and Real Salt Lake are interested. A transfer fee of one million euros will probably be due.
