It runs at the HSV Hamburg: The Hanseatic tribes against Eisenach celebrate their third victory in a row. Even before the kick -off, a message creates a good atmosphere.
The handball Bundesliga club HSV Hamburg continued its upward trend and achieved the third victory one after the other. Against THSV Eisenach, the team won in front of 3,321 spectators in the home arena with 31:29 (12:12). Frederik Bo Andersen was the most successful thrower for the hosts with nine goals. Eisenach’s Marko Grgić also scored nine goals.
The guests rely on a particularly offensive defense right from the start. THSV coach Misha Kaufmann had four players in phases ahead to disturb Hamburg’s structure. In the attack, Eisenach waived a classic circuit runner.
This tactic initially brought HSV Hamburg out of rhythm. Between the twelfth and the 21st minute, the Hanseate did not score. In this phase, goalkeeper Mohamed EL-Tayar with several parades prevented them. Matija Spikic also kept strong on the opposite side.
With the seventh field player instead of the goalkeeper, the HSV found better into the game. The Hamburgers worked out a narrow lead and defended them with commitment and a little luck until the end.
Even before the kick -off, the club had made positive headlines: head coach Torsten Jansen and his assistant Blaženko Lacković extended their contracts. Jansen remains until June 30, 2028, Lacković until June 30, 2027. Read more here.
