The live shopping specialist HSE has appointed Nikolaus Maaß as Chief Product & Commercial Officer.

Maaß took over the newly created position on January 1st and is now responsible for “the overall cross-channel management of the product range, marketing and customer experience,” the company announced on Thursday. He therefore reports directly to CEO Sandra Rehm.

The aim of the personnel decision is to “connect product range strategy, product architecture, data-based performance models and the customer experience across TV, e-commerce and social commerce as an integrated value creation system,” said HSE. In doing so, the company is creating “a scalable basis for growth-oriented innovation” and “further expanding its leading position in live commerce.”

According to his new employer, Maaß has “more than 15 years of international leadership experience” and “strategic and operational strength in the development, management and scaling of global brands and business models”. During his career, he held various positions at Procter & Gamble and Adidas, among others.

HSE CEO Sandra Rehm justified the appeal. “With Nikolaus Maaß we are gaining a leader who combines product and product range expertise with international commercial and digital experience – a combination that will further increase our growth momentum,” she explained in a statement. “HSE has significantly expanded its position in live commerce and digital commerce in recent years. With the new CPCO role, we are creating the organizational basis to continue this dynamic and consistently develop our product worlds.”
