The Winter Olympics will take place in Italy from February 6th to 22nd, 2026. This way you can follow the sports – and don’t miss out on medals.

The Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo start in less than three months. German stars such as ice hockey ace Leon Draisaitl, biathlete Franziska Preuß or the DSV Adler Andreas Wellinger and Selina Freitag will then fight for the coveted medals in Italy.

From February 6th to 22nd, fans can once again experience winter sports up close on television and get excited. t-online gives an overview of the sports, the TV schedule, the sports venues and when medals will be awarded.

The 2026 Winter Games will be broadcast on the public broadcasters ARD and ZDF. As with previous games, the broadcasters also offer online live streams. But the Winter Games can’t only be seen there: fans can also watch their winter sports idols compete on Eurosport/discovery+.

The competitions take place at different locations. The 2026 Winter Games will be spread across Italy and the Alps in a way that has never been the case before for a Winter Games. The distances to the different sports facilities are therefore very long.

The Opening ceremony will take place on February 6th in Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadiumalso known as San Siro. The closing ceremony is scheduled for February 22nd in the Verona Arena.

The competition locations during this time are:
